Dr. C. Rufus Sweeney fell in love with psychiatry mid-medical school at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He is particularly interested in substance use disorder — he specializes in the medicine of addiction.
When he’s not seeing patients, he’s teaching his kids to dribble a basketball and taking casual courses on cosmology.

Diane Richardson, APRN, PMHNP-BC
I believe that mental and physical health are connected, and I have a passion for educating my clients to recognize potential biological issues that may be limiting their ability to manage their moods, behaviors, and/or motivation for success. I can diagnose and prescribe medications for mental health with a holistic approach, providing services beyond medication management for those who express interest, including pharmacogenetic testing, neurotoxicity evaluations, specific condition testing (ie Lyme, parasites, etc), natural supplement and nutritional recommendations, as well as education/referrals for additional non-medication therapies such as Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS), and hyperbaric oxygen treatment. I accept most commercial insurances.
I do not offer formal psychotherapy (talk therapy) but do encourage a combined treatment and will collaborate with your therapist as appropriate.

In-person appointments are available for new patients and are required for initial ADHD stimulant and controlled medication prescriptions. However, most clients are transitioned to virtual appointments for ongoing follow-up care.
